Sawing of curbs and pavements

Since the early Eighties, Construction S.R.B scc carries out the cut of driveway entries for the great majority of the cities of Quebec.

Construction S.R.B scc use patented trucks to carry out this work. This work method has several advantages:

• A lower price; approximately 60% of the cost of a traditional rebuilding
• Completion of the work within 10 business days
• The immediate access to the property, once cut carried out
• No paving to be remade

Curbs

The horizontal sawing of curbs can be carried out in various ways and with various materials:

• Cut by the front (carried out when no specification is required)
• Cut by the back (carried out when the customer wants to have an angle in the curb)
• Cut of concrete curbs
• Cut of granite curbs
• Cut of asphalt curbs

Pavements

The equipment used by Construction S.R.B scc can also cut the pavements over a width of 25 to 150 mm and over the length desired by the customer. The slope can thus be made over the full width of the pavement or simply on a portion of the width of the pavement.

Construction S.R.B scc also offers the sawing of collapsed pavements. This service makes it possible to the municipalities to level a collapsed pavement without having to carry out a complete rebuilding.

Marking

In order to facilitate the communication between the customer and the company, Construction S.R.B scc set up a uniform system of marking for all the curbs and pavements to be sawed in Quebec.

The method is quite simple. The customer must, using a spray paint, indicate the starting point and the end of the driveway entry (see photo below). The customer must also indicate, using a slash on the side of the curb, on which side the slope must be sawn. By default, the slope has a length of 1,5 feet, unless particular request of the customer.

This procedure is carried out either by the resident, or by the person responsible for the sawing of your municipality. To ensure you with the procedure to follow, please contact the person in charge of the provisioning of your municipality.

The maximum length of an entry is governed by municipal laws. Any cut of driveway entry must be authorized by your municipality.

Construction S.R.B scc guarantees the completion of the work within 10 business days following the reception of the authorization of the city.
